Wild West

point lobos, found photo

I once knew you
old friend
my own back yard.
Pool of foaming tides
here cropped
by silhouetted limbs.
Don't hinder this view.
Drinking in
strong drafts of Eucalyptus.
Squinting
I minimalize the scope.
Trying
to revisit my youthful ways
you help in this
transfiguration.
Glancing at you
over my shoulder
Heart beats.
Take my hand.
Understand.
Found a man.
Life is grand.
Eloquence?
lost on this one!
Change is complete.
I don't want to hear reason.
I don't want to argue logic.
Just run
come
come
come, carry me home.
